Dazzi Recommends: Free Will EP x Quent Young

Front Cover Free Will

A feel-good hip-hop, jazz infused ride is just the surface of what you will hear from North Carolina native, Quent Young’s newest EP, Free Will. Tales of life, women, choices, vices and perspective fill the project and Quent even has some odes to classic hip-hop with the sample of Mary J. Blige’s “I Can Love You” in “Love & Hate” and the infamous “Fuck bitches, get money” line in “Fools Gold”. Produced entirely by Bright Justin with live horns provided by Willie Allen Jr. (Juss Will) and live bass by Aaron Bell (Axnt), the project wraps you in live instrumentation and incredible production while delivering powerful introspective lyrics through well crafted songs. It left me with a, “Damn that was a really good project” and it will leave you feeling the same. Vibe below.
