Breakout female emcee, Kari Faux premiered her new music video for “Fantasy” that takes a glimpse into Kari’s subconscious as she deals with her inner demons. A continuous shot of a small claustrophobic room in an apartment building is the setting for the video. As the camera turns, everything gets a little more surreal and disheveled and sinking the viewer deeper into her nightmare. This is the third single single from Faux’s debut album, Lost En Los Angeles. Faux has this to say of the song via The Fader:
“This song started off as a poem, then I began making this little beat on Logic as a reference. It took some time, but I got a couple of musicians on it and it became what it is now. “Cool Like That” by Digable Planets and “Certainly” by Erykah Badu helped as inspiration. It’s really just a song about how I was feeling in that specific moment.”
