Johnny Lifted is an artist that I’ve been following and getting to know for the past year. When he first sent me his music, I wasn’t totally into it. Only because he wasn’t using his full potential and I could tell-from lyrics to production-I knew he could be way better. The Charlotte artist stopped sleeping on himself and turned everything up 5 notches within this year. His latest drop serves as a ToD Premiere entitled, “New Wave Freestyle”, and he gives us everything. Lifted reps the 4 hard in this one while throwing around DBZ references, not stressing over old flames, calling out fake street ni**as and I’m pretty sure he kills a guy (whoa). He does all this while giving us something “for the palm trees”. This is just a tease for fans as he prepares to release his Bombers & Bodysuits project very soon. Get splashy with Lifted below.
